Interview with A Domestic Worker

I went on to have an interview with a domestic worker, her replies were blissful just like her. The first question was

“Where are you from?”

She replied,

 “Ravi Village, Pakistan”.

 Then the next question was

“How did your home look like?”

her reply was,

“My house is made up of clay/mud but it is beautiful, it has cows, goats, chicks and hens with her two dogs Tommy and Chugli, she also recalled that her dog Chugli had died”.

Then I asked

“How many years have you been working?”

her reply was

 “6.5 years and in one house.”

I then asked

 “How many siblings do you have?”

she replied

“5 siblings”.

Then I asked

“Do you prefer living in the village or in the city?”

she said,

 “Of course the village!”.

Then I finally ended the session with the question

 “What do you want to achieve when you grow up?”

she replied,

“I want to be a good person and help people and also try to get a little rich to get shelter and food".

Her story is inspiring, what I’ve learned is that we should be grateful for what we have and thank god for everything, even for having a life and a family. We should support the workers in our home and make them smile, sometimes we never know the other side of the story.

  Describing Myself In 3 Words   By Aaroosh Khan (Grade V) If I had to describe myself in 5 words it will be a challenge because we have to find words that match our personality and a person is more than just 5 words, not only me but you as well and everyone in this world!   My Daily Routine (By Aaroosh Khan) (Grade - V) When it comes to routines, we all have different ones but here’s a fact I invented by myself! It all starts by waking up and going into the bathroom! Most of them. But let me share my routine! And yes, it starts with that. First, I wake up at 8:00 AM and yes, I go to the bathroom and I wash my face, brush my teeth and come out and change clothes. At 8:15 I make breakfast which is most of the time tea with a biscuit or an egg with bread. At 8:30 AM I make my bed and at 8:50 AM I log into my online classes until 1:50 PM! Then I do exercises for my height increase and flexibility. Then at 3:00 PM, I do some activities like painting or any arts and crafts. At 4:00 PM I study till 5:00 PM. Then it's my free time till 6:00 PM and at 6:15 PM I do revision till 7:00 PM. At 8:00 PM I eat my dinner and at 10:00 I wear my night suit and get in my bed which is waiting for me!
